Guest Information

Beverly Golf and Country Club has a dress code to ensure that we maintain the standards expected by our membership. Members are obligated to ensure that their attire and that of their guests is respectful and country club appropriate. Club staff has been granted the authority by the Board of Directors to refuse golf course and club house privileges to anyone not complying with the dress code.

Golf Attire

Permitted Golf Attire – Men

  • Golf or dress slacks, or tailored shorts (no more than 3 inches above the knee)
  • Golf type shirts with collar or turtleneck
  • Golf shoes must be worn
  • Hats, caps and visors must be respectful and may not be worn backwards anywhere on the property
  • Note that any non-golf commercial logos must be in good taste in both size and design

Permitted Golf Attire – Ladies

  • Tailored slacks or capri pants, golf skirts, dresses or tailored shorts no shorter than 5 inches above the knee
  • Sleeveless golf shirts or blouses with collar and collarless golf shirts and blouses with sleeves
  • Golf shoes must be worn
  • Hats, caps and visors must be respectful and may not be worn backwards anywhere on the property

Prohibited Golf Attire

  • jeans
  • see-through shirts
  • tank tops
  • t-shirts
  • jogging/rugby pants
  • spandex wear
  • rugger
  • track tear-away pants or non-golf designed cargo pants or cargo shorts, and clothing
  • Golf shoes with spikes are not permitted.

Club House Attire

Country club attire is expected of all members and guests for all areas of the clubhouse including the dining and lounge areas. In general, golf attire is the minimum dress requirement on the property at any time.
  • Shirts and/or blouses are to be tucked in at all times unless designed to be worn otherwise.
  • Denim jeans are permitted in all areas except on the course. Jeans must be tasteful and respectful (not old, worn, ripped etc.) and must be worn with appropriate shirts.
  • T-shirts are not acceptable attire anywhere except at the pool. If you are in doubt, please err on the side of appropriate country club attire.
  • Footwear must be worn at all times
  • Bathing attire is only permitted in the pool area or locker rooms.
  • Hats or visors may not be worn in the clubhouse dining or lounge areas.
